Dichlorvos is a non-systemic and penetrating insecticide with a touching, digestive and respiratory (smoking) effect and a strong shock effect, with a short protective period. This compound has a high egg-removing effect, but due to durability and low residue on the crops, it acts weaker on micticides than other insects. The effect of this pesticide is to inhibit the cholinesterase enzyme in the nervous system of animals. Acetylcholine acts as a nerve message carrier in the intersynaptic space and stimulates the next axon. Dichlorvos causes the accumulation of acetylcholine in the synapse in the insect body, and as a result, the stimulation of the next nerve fiber continues continuously, and this is because the cholinesterase enzyme necessary to break down acetylcholine in the intersynaptic space and eliminate this continuous stimulation is blocked by dichlorvos.
